Album Of The Week: “Slave Ambient” by The War On Drugs

Brilliant krautrocky-shoegaze-stoner-rock album from Philadelphia’s The War On Drugs. The Pitchfork review says “it’s as if the Spiritualized and Springsteen albums filed alphabetically next to one another in your record collection had melted together on a hot August afternoon.”

Can’t put it any better myself, so I won’t elaborate, other than to say this is a hypnotic, relaxing album with some amazing tracks. Suggest you start with “I was There” and once you’ve been beguiled by that, move on.
